British pumps engineers, Tomlinson Hall & Co Ltd, are celebrating their ninth decade in business this year.
Frank Hall and Alfred Tomlinson founded the Teesside company based on the North East Coast of England in 1919. Initially established as a general engineering company, grandson of Alfred Tomlinson, Tony Keville now heads the pumps, power transmission equipment and engineering supplies specialist.

The company has evolved and changed over time, but we have never relented in our commitment to provide the best possible pumping equipment and service to the building industry.”
Tomlinson Hall design, supply, install and commission pumps for a variety of companies in the building industry. International manufacturers and distributors, Tomlinson Hall, produce and develop Liquivac®, a liquid ring vacuum pump designed to pump single liquids, combinations of liquids, air and fine solids. Applications include land reclamation and draining flooded areas. Other principles include Depa (Air Operated), Elro (Peristaltic), Grundfos and SPP.
To celebrate their 90th birthday Tomlinson Hall will host a variety of events combined with commemorative giveaways, including complimentary bottles of wine in a limited edition box for every 90th order received per month.
The first event, an Exhibition Open Day, is taking place in June 2009 at their premises, ending with a twilight cruise down the River Tees onboard the Teesside Princess, giving national and international suppliers the chance to learn more about Tomlinson Hall, exhibit to end-users and an opportunity to network.
