Barnfield Construction have delivered the first in what has been described as ‘a new kind of economy hotel’.
The 88 room hotel located at Rockingham Leisure Park in Corby, Northamptonshire is the first Hampton by Hilton to open its doors to guests in the United Kingdom.
The Hampton by Hilton Hotel is a brand name of the Hilton family of hotels offering fresh and clean, stylish, comfortable rooms together with outstanding service. Trading in the USA as Hampton Inn, the hotel company describes it as “a new kind of economy hotel”.

The new Hampton by Hilton Hotel is a franchise, owned and operated by the management company Hotel Solutions London (H.S.L.)Limited, of which Barnfield is in partnership with.
“With our opening of the first Hampton by Hilton in Europe, H.S.L. is joining the Hilton family in conjunction with Mr Ramesh Dewan who has made a commitment of owning and operating 20 new Hampton by Hilton’s over the next few years” said Pearl Pallihawadana, Operational Director.
The hotel encompasses composite cladding on a steel frame to constitute a £6.5 million, 32 metre high build. Bathroom pods were used within each hotel room which enabled timescales to be achieved.
Barnfield completed the contract early and within budget as well as supply and installation of all furniture, fittings and equipment; something that is normally contracted to a specialist interiors firm.
Barnfield are currently in talks with Hilton bosses regarding a further 3 sites for the next phase of the budget hotels in Luton, Mansfield & Coventry.
